Faculty Participation in National Land Planning and Housing Policy Development
Providence university is home to a diverse and highly skilled faculty across various academic disciplines. Many of our professors actively contribute to the development and planning of national land and regional policies initiated by government agencies such as the Ministry of the Interior, including the National Land Management Agency and the Regional Planning Committee.
For example, Professor Li Chun-Ju from the Department of Tourism serves as an expert scholar on the Regional Planning Committee, offering professional consultation and strategic advice to support the government in formulating forward-looking and feasible solutions to key national issues. These contributions include:
- National Land and Regional Planning: Assisting in the formulation and promotion of policies and systems related to national land, regional, and urban planning, to ensure the rational use and distribution of land and resources.
- Housing Policy and Social Housing: Participating in the planning and promotion of housing policies, and providing expert advice on the development of social housing and housing subsidy systems to ensure that residents have access to affordable living spaces.
- Urban Renewal and Infrastructure: Supporting the development and implementation of urban renewal policies, and contributing to the planning and management of urban roads, public buildings, and sewer systems.
- Building Management and Condominium Systems: Offering guidance on the review and supervision of building management systems and condominium regulations to enhance residential quality and safety.
- Regional Planning Review and Coordination: Through involvement in the Regional Planning Committee of the Ministry of the Interior, assisting in the review of newly proposed or amended regional plans, evaluating implementation effectiveness, conducting public consultations, and coordinating interdepartmental efforts to promote sound economic development and public welfare.
