10.6.10 Disability accommodation policy

Providence University prioritizes accommodating students with disabilities and provides services such as scholarships, reserved housing, and upgrades to accessible spaces. As outlined in Article 3, Chapter 2 of the "Providence University Student Dormitories Management Regulation," students with physical or mental challenges, as well as those from low- or middle-income families, are given top priority for dormitory bed assignments. They also receive scholarships and support for accessible space improvements.

PU has developed the "Eagle Student Counseling and Assistance Mechanism " to assist economically disadvantaged students, such as those from low-income families, students with disabilities, and children from families facing special circumstances. The "Learning Achievement Awards and Subsidies for Economically Disadvantaged Students " have been established to provide academic counseling, professional certification and competition guidance, foreign language proficiency preparation, internship support, and career counseling. These measures aim to promote self-directed learning and diverse development among students, thereby enhancing their academic performance and boosting their future competitiveness.
