10.6.11 Anti-harassment Policy

In order to prevent sexual harassment and protect the rights of victims, as well as to provide a workplace environment free from sexual harassment, Providence University has established the Workplace Sexual Harassment Prevention Regulations in accordance with the Act of Gender Equality in Employment, its Enforcement Rules, the Sexual Harassment Prevention Act, the Regulations for the Prevention of Sexual Harassment in the Workplace, and the Sexual Harassment Prevention Guidelines.

Providence University has reviewed and revised the Workplace Sexual Harassment Prevention Regulations on November 20, 2024.

To prevent the occurrence of sexual harassment, PU has implemented the following measures and initiatives:

  1. Take immediate and effective corrective and remedial actions upon becoming aware of any sexual harassment situation.
  2. Provide education and training programs on the prevention of sexual harassment.
  3. Issue written statements prohibiting sexual harassment in the workplace.
  4. Establish grievance procedures for handling sexual harassment cases.
  5. Set up dedicated hotlines, fax numbers, mailboxes, or email accounts for filing complaints, and publicly post these regulations and related information in prominent areas on campus.
  6. Handle complaints in a confidential manner, ensuring that complainants are protected from retaliation or other adverse treatment.
  7. Refer parties to relevant university units or specialized agencies for counseling or medical services, when necessary, to address physical or psychological needs.
  8. Impose disciplinary measures on perpetrators when allegations are verified through investigation.
