4.3.3 Vocational training events

Ad-Hoc events:

N/S Terminal 
PU's N/S Terminal is established to promote the goals of cross-border economic policies. It focuses on innovative talent cultivation, e-commerce skills training, and entrepreneurship counseling , utilizing digital and media equipment for digital talent development. It provides the needs of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and startups in the central Taiwan by assisting in linking domestic and international e-commerce resources. 

The courses and services available of PU’ N/S Terminal include the following:

  • E-commerce Training Courses: Covering brand management, live streaming, customer management, data analysis, brand building, and other related topics. These courses attract young entrepreneurs from diverse fields and enhance their theoretical knowledge and practical skills in e-commerce operations.
  • E-commerce Consulting Services: Based on the needs of each team, professional consultants are matched to provide problem diagnosis, optimization suggestions, or resource referrals.
  • Team Project Counseling: Selected startup teams in Taichung City with potential for e-commerce development receive tailored support. Professional consultants assist in improving e-commerce platforms or optimizing self-built websites, while also offering hands-on training courses and case-based diagnostic services. This guidance equips teams with the ability to operate and market independently.

Events on programmed basis

College of Continuing Education 
PU has established specialized educational activities for various stakeholders in the community, including alumni, local residents, and working teachers. These activities aim to provide opportunities for professional training, knowledge updating, and skill enhancement in the community, promoting lifelong learning and career development.

We offer a variety of courses aimed at professional advancement, covering a wide range of fields such as industrial technology, educational technology, childcare, infant food processing, traditional folk therapy training, and etc. These courses are designed not only to impart professional knowledge but also to emphasize the cultivation of practical skills, enabling participants to be more competitive in their respective fields.

Labor College
PU collaborates with the Labor Affairs Bureau of Taichung City Government to establish the Labor College to encourage our labor friends to enhance their knowledge and skills through continuing education while working.  The courses covering various subjects such as industrial development and technical enhancement, digital information application, management, labor rights protection, and industry/workplace professional language are available.

PU’s Labor College primarily serves laborers in the central coastal region of Taiwan. It aims to bridge the urban-rural gap by providing vocational skills training and hosting public lecture. In 2023-2024 academic year, a total of 9 courses and 3 lectures were conducted.
