4.3.5 Lifelong learning access policy

Does your university as a body have a policy that ensures that access to these activities is accessible to all, regardless of ethnicity, religion, disability or gender?

PU's policy formulation does not discriminate based on race, religion, disability, or gender. Interested students and community members are welcome to participate in our educational activities.

Furthermore, in order to promote substantive gender equality, eliminate gender discrimination, uphold human dignity, and create a gender-equal educational environment for students and staff, PU has established 'Providence University Campus Sexual Assault, Harassment, or Bullying Prevention Regulations', 'Gender Equality Education Implementation Guidelines ’, and ‘Sexual harassment Prevention Measures’. Through lectures and various activities, we continuously enhance the awareness of respecting gender diversity and gender equality among faculty, staff, and students, thereby eliminating gender discrimination and achieving substantive gender equality.

To comply with the ‘Gender Equality Education Act’ and uphold a spirit of diversity and inclusiveness, our university actively protects students' basic human rights and ensures their right to education. We provide necessary assistance to pregnant and disabilities students and have established guidelines for the protection and counseling assistance of pregnant students' right to education.

For Indigenous faculty, staff, and students, our university established the Indigenous Students Resources Center in 2019, integrating internal and external resources to promote counseling work for Indigenous students and organize various cultural activities with diverse and meaningful ethnic cultural significance.
