Regulations for the Establishment of the Special Education Implementation Committee

Revised and approved in the administrative meeting on May 28, 2025

Article 1. In order to promote the counseling work of students with disabilities in our school, implement various individual support services, based on special teaching The Education Law provides for the establishment of the "Promoting Committee for Special Education of Providence University" (hereinafter referred to as this committee).

Article 2 .The composition of members is as follows:

  1. Convener: the principal.
  2. Ex-officio members: Dean of Academic Affairs, Dean of Education, Dean of

General Affairs, Director of Computer and Communication Center, Leader of Enrollment Group, Leader of Camp Group, Director of Counseling and Health Center.

  1. Selection committee members: The principal selects one teacher representative from each college, one special education scholar and one consultant and health center to select three representatives of students or parents.

The committee shall have one executive secretary, who shall be concurrently appointed by the dean; members of either gender shall not be less than one third of the total number of members. The members serve for two years and are unpaid and may be re-elected.

Article 3. The tasks of this committee are as follows:

  1. Review the school's annual special education work plan.
  2. Review the allocation, use and implementation of the school's special education

funds.

  1. Review the individualized support plan and transportation subsidy for students with special physical and mental disabilities in our school.
  2. Assist in the identification of students with disabilities in our school and other related matters.
  3. Coordinate and integrate the school's special education resources.
  4. Provide relevant suggestions on the admission of students with disabilities in our school.
  5. Supervise and improve the barrier-free environment and webpages of our school.
  6. Promotion and implementation of other special education-related businesses.

Article 4. The committee shall convene once every semester, and temporary meetings may be held when necessary.

 

The convener serves as the chairman. When the convener is unable to attend the presidency, the committee shall appoint a committee member or one of the committee members to be the chairman of the committee's resolution, with a majority of the committee members present, and a majority of the present committee members agree to the implementation; when necessary, experts, scholars or private organizations may be invited Guidance, or ask the relevant office, students or parents to attend and explain.

Article 5. If there are any matters not covered by these Measures, they shall be handled in accordance with relevant laws and regulations of the Ministry of Education.

Article 6 .This method is adopted by the executive meeting and implemented after the principal announces it. The same applies when revised.
