8.2.7 Tracking pay scale for gender equity

Providence university is committed to ensuring gender equality in employment rights, eliminating gender discrimination and promoting gender equality. The salaries of faculty and staff are determined according to the "Providence University Faculty and Staff Salary Regulations" and the Providence University Contracted Personnel Employment and Management Regulations." For faculty members holding managerial positions, additional allowances are provided in accordance with the " Providence University Guidelines for the Allowance Standards and Implementation for Supervisory Positions."
 
Additionally, PU consistently monitors gender equality in pay grades. Based on 2024 data, 27 individuals hold Level-1 Supervisors, with 8 women comprising 29% of this group. At the Level-2 academic and administrative supervisors, there are 94 supervisors, 41 of whom are women, accounting for 43%. PU is dedicated to upholding the "Gender Equality in Employment Act," ensuring that compensation adheres to uniform standards regardless of gender or sexual orientation. The average monthly salary for male faculty members at Providence University is NT$115,699, while the average monthly salary for female faculty members is NT$112,807. The average monthly salary for male staff members is NT$53,425, and for female staff members, it is NT$60,146. Equal pay is guaranteed for work of equal value, ensuring equal employment opportunities in strict accordance with Article 10 of the Gender Equality in Employment Act.
