12.2.8 Minimisation policies extended to suppliers

Based on the "Government Procurement Act," the "Waste Disposal Act," the "Enforcement Rules of the Waste Disposal Act," and various measures from the Ministry of Environment of the Executive Yuan, our university prioritizes manufacturers that offer products with less environmental impact.

Providence University requires contracted vendors to comply with relevant regulations to ensure responsible consumption and production. Additionally, PU adheres to the procurement regulations set by the Executive Yuan to demonstrate ethical procurement practices. PU advocates for and encourages the production and use of green products to promote green consumption, implement the environmental and economic sustainability of product life cycles, achieve sustainable resource utilization and environmental protection benefits, and consistently practice environmental protection principles.

When making procurement decisions, preference is given to suppliers with equipment and products that have obtained government-recognized environmental certifications (such as eco-friendly, water-saving, and energy-saving certifications).
