11.4.5 Affordable housing for students

PU provides 3 on-campus residence halls, accommodation of 3,263 students, with rates ranging from NTD10,000-NTD15,500NTD per semester and students can select housing preferences based on their needs.  Designated staffs are also assigned in the dormitory to meet the needs of campus life.  It is considerably affordable compare the housing expenses off-campus ranging from NTD18,000-NTD30,000 per semester.

In addition to offering discounted rental rates for on-campus housing, special resources such as housing subsidies and public service-learning programs are provided specifically for disadvantaged students to further support their academic stability. In the 2023 academic year, a total of 24 students benefited from these resources; in the 2024 academic year, 53 low-income students applied for housing subsidies, allowing for a reduction of NT$9,000 per semester in housing fees. Across both academic years, a total of 77 students participated in public service-learning organized by the housing services unit, taking on the mission of serving and caring for those around them.
