The main transportation connecting Providence University with downtown Taichung is the city bus routes provided by the Taichung City Government. There are over10 bus routes that can reach Providence University, and the school encourages all faculty, staff, and students to use public transportation.

Due to the university's hillside location, various transportation methods have been planned to enter the campus to encourage faculty, staff, and students to use public transportation:

Bus stop at the main gate: Faculty, staff, and students can use their identification cards for bus fares, and enjoy the first 10 kilometers of travel for free.

Campus shuttle buses: Since 2016, after coordination with the Taichung City Government, city bus routes have started to enter the campus. Currently, there are 3 bus routes operating within the campus, with 4 bus stops set up to facilitate movement for faculty, staff, and students. Additionally, since 2022, the campus shuttle buses have incorporated green energy electric buses to futher reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
