Digital Learning Partner Program

PU's Digital Learning Partner Program has reached its seventh year. We equip our students with the skills to effectively use information tools and incorporate resources into educational contexts. Through online learning platforms, we deliver customized teaching materials directly to junior high and elementary school students in remote areas with one-on-one interactions to overcome urban-rural spatial barriers. To date, it has supported more than 774 rural students, offering tailored guidance that strengthens academic performance, builds confidence, and expands learning horizons. Beyond enhancing motivation and interest in learning, the program fosters an inclusive digital environment that nurtures children’s holistic development and promotes equitable educational opportunities across communities.

Voluntary activities for local communities(on programmed basis)

USR
PU's USR(University Social Responsibility, USR) program is founded on principles of humanities and social care, aiming to create a people-centered smart society.  By addressing local needs, we incorporate professional knowledge and creativity to assist in solving regional issues, foster friendly relations between the university and the community, and establish effective cultivation of local care and identity. This practice realizes the university's social responsibility and expands its social influence.

Through partnerships with nearby communities such as Jinjiang, Xing'an, Caonan, and Nanshe, our university gains insights into the current development status of each community. After identifying communities in need of resources and connections, including elderly living, smart health, and green care, we provide in-depth support systems tailored to their specific needs. By integrating local issues with teachers' professional expertise, we lead student involvement and conduct interviews and exchanges within the communities. This process confirms and integrates the community's development status and direction.

Student Club Volunteer Services off campus

During the 2024 academic year, 16 student clubs, such as the Legal Service Club, Hip-Hop Dance Club, Chinese Orchestra, Guitar Club, and Wind Band, actively engaged in community service at local elementary schools, communities, and organizations in the Miaoli, Nantou, and Taichung regions. Altogether, they carried out 90 service activities, involving 603 volunteers and serving 1,375 individuals.
