11.2.1 Public access to buildings, monuments or natural heritage landscapes
The campus monuments, buildings, and natural heritage landscape on the campus of Providence University are open to the public free of charge. Our Lady of Providence offers daily open access for the public to visit or arrange guided tours by appointment. PU will also continue to maintain these buildings and landscapes, keeping them open for public in the long term.
The Providence University Archive, located on the second floor of Luking Library, houses rich information related to Providence University. Stepping into the PU Archives feels like traveling through a time tunnel, as it preserves the numerous moments and milestones of Providence University. In addition to this physical space, a new digital archiving system has been established to digitally preserve valuable historical documents and materials from over the years.
The concept of soundscape, derived from the idea of landscape, guides people to appreciate nature and awaken their awareness of the sounds around them. Through the Providence University Soundscape Map, these auditory landscapes are preserved, becoming historical records of environmental changes and cherished memories for all of us.
